Lynda is an associate at ALG. She maintains a criminal and regulatory law practice with a strong interest in search and seizure issues.  Prior to joining ALG, Lynda articled at a civil litigation boutique, and subsequently spent nine years working at a top criminal/regulatory boutique firm in Toronto, focusing on a practice of mixed regulatory and criminal law.  Lynda has also gained experience on the other side of the court room, acting as an Assistant Crown Attorney for the Guns & Gangs Unit of the Ministry of the Attorney General.  Lynda has also acted previously as duty counsel for the Law Society of Ontario

Lynda earned her law degree from the University of Ottawa, where she graduated fifth in her class, and earned awards, including prizes for highest standing in advanced criminal procedure and criminal law and procedure.  She has a B.A.H. in History from Queen’s University.

Lynda is a member of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association and the Advocates’ Society, acting as a Member-at-Large for the Advocates’ Society Criminal Law Practice Group, and as a member of the IT/Remote Access Committee for the New Toronto Courthouse. She has spoken at numerous conferences on search and seizure issues, and acts as a co-chair of the annual Osgoode Tech Crime Conference. Lynda is also involved with Habitat for Humanity (GTA).
