Biography
Andrew Max is a partner at Addario Law Group. He represents institutions, executives, and professionals in complex commercial litigation, regulatory disputes, and high-stakes investigations. He is frequently retained on matters requiring senior judgment, urgency, and discretion, where business risk, reputation, and operational continuity are on the line.
Andrew is ranked nationally by Chambers for Commercial Litigation, White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations, and Crime, and is also recognized by Lexpert for Corporate Commercial Litigation and by Benchmark Litigation as a Litigation Star.
His practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, fraud and misrepresentation claims, injunctions, and crisis-driven litigation requiring decisive action. His courtroom advocacy is informed by extensive trial experience, including dozens of trials as a criminal prosecutor, that shapes his approach to commercial cases.
Andrew teaches trial advocacy at Osgoode Hall Law School’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop and has served on the Ontario Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Executive and The Advocates’ Society Commercial Litigation Practice Group. He was named Prosecutor of the Year by the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators.
Andrew clerked for the judges of the Ontario Superior Court, focusing on the Commercial List and class actions. He holds a law degree and a Master of Arts in philosophy from the University of Toronto.
