In a recently published decision, the Ontario Superior Court struck down certain prohibitions in the Safe Streets Act finding that the Charter freedoms of unhoused people were violated. ALG's Frank Addario and Rebecca Amoah represented the Canadian Civil Liberties Association as intervenor, successfully arguing that portions of the Safe Streets Act prohibit individuals in public spaces from soliciting donations.
